Demountables all the way!

GBA is well known for our demountable flare structures but recent times have seen some of the biggest we have ever built. We have constructed a 160m x 8 flare structure for the SHARQ plant in Al Jubail, followed by the 1st stage of what will become a 216m x 10 flare system at the Ibn Zahr plant just next door. Add this to other large demountables for Borouge (180m x 8 flares), Ras Gas (136m x 4 flares) & Thai Olefins (150m x 3 flares) and you can see that our factory has been very busy! This is in addition to a new 109m guyed flare for Statoil Mongstad Refinery & 7-off elevated flares for the Aramco Khursaniyah project!

Enclosed Flare starts up

GBA's enclosed ground flare at the Reganosa LNG import terminal has been successfully commissioned although the local population could be forgiven for missing this event as the unit is designed to completely conceal the flare flame! The unit is designed for concealed, low noise flaring of up to 15,000 kg/h of gas.

Changes

GBA would like to welcome Chris Tarleton to our team based in Burnham. Chris's background is in Separators & Gas Conditioning which should prove useful for those applications requiring Knock Out Drums & fuel gas treatment.

A New Application

GBA is proud to have supplied the flare tips for the Adriatic LNG project, this is a novel offshore LNG regasification unit to be located off the Adriatic coast of Italy.
